Young Girls + Beyonce Routine+ Two Peice Costumes=Inappropriate??????

I'm pretty sure you guys have seen the video of the little girls dancing to Beyonce's "Single ladies." I've been going back and forth as to whether or not I approve or disapprove. I feel that children have been seen on YouTube doing and saying way worse and people should lay off them. They went up there and danced their hearts out. Not to mention, the tedious process they must have went through to master that routine. Most dancing outfits for children, are just as inappropriate. They're meant for them to move around in.
On the flip side, its understandable that the combination between the song choice and the alfits and certain moves might cause controversy. Not to mention, there are numerous pedaphiles that would enjoy the hell out that video, which is scary.
I'm interested in knowing how the world inside my world feels about it. Some of you have children, some of you don't so I know opinions are going to vary. Just be honest and Real.

He Betta Find Your Loving, You Heard him.

We’ve watched mister Aubrey Graham, who we all know as Drake grow tremendously as an artist and a writer in his 3 mix tapes, “Room for Improvement,” 2007’s, “Comeback season” and 2009’s critically acclaimed, “So Far Gone,”. Best I Ever Had debuted at # 2 on the billboard top 100, almost making him the second artist to have a #1 single without having a recording contract. Personally, I was disappointed when his album wasn’t released in February but now with “Thank Me Later” scheduled to be released June 15th of this year, I’m ‘pumped dude.’
I was especially pumped when I saw the video to his new single, “Find your loving.” I felt like we were reverting back to the olden days a.k.a the 90’s when you liked a song but then the video came out and you were in love; in love with the artist, the song, the possibilities.
The video had something that I feel like I haven’t seen in ages! A STORY LINE! In addition to that, the girl in the video, although she did have a huge booty, she wasn’t shaking it in the camera, popping it on a hand stand. Instead, the scenes actually coincided with the lyrics and the content. I was very proud. Kanye West did a commendable job on the production also, although it was easy to point out the ‘808 heartbreak’ sound.
I just hope that the album is actually released this time. I’m curious to see if the method to Lil Wayne’s Madness is one that is going to work for not only himself but Nikki and Drake. I fear the risk of people losing interest or the album not living up to it’s expectations. If that happens, at least he actually possess the ability to act, unlike most people that attempt at the same transition. I think he has some longevity though so I’m along for the ride.

Beyonce's new single, "Why Don't You Love Me"

Any one that knows me, knows that I'm a huge Beyonce fan. I think she's a great performer, has amazing vocals and is without a doubt, eye candy. For years, I've wondered how she's managed to stay at the top. All of my questions ceased to exist yesterday, when I heard her newest single and saw the video for, "Why don't you love me." Beyonce is a biter! (crowd gasp) I'm not saying there is anything wrong with biting because by all means neccessary, do what you have to in order to stay on top. But, I was disappointed to find that my suspicions were true.
Everything about this video says Lady GaGa. It made me giggle when I saw comments saying, "shes so original." No, she's not. Beyonce and the machine behind her takes whats hot at the moment and replicates it. Exhibit A: One of the biggest albums in 2007 was "Good Girl Gone Bad." It consisted of, up tempos and ballad orientated songs. Coincidentally, in November 2008, Beyonce released, "I am...Sasha Fierce." This album was also filled with up tempos and ballad oriented songs. It also, conceptually, was about good girl, "Beyonce" vs. bad girl, "Sasha Fierce." Don't be surprised if her next album consist of songs similar to all of Gaga's hit records from this year.
"Why don't you love me" video depicts a Beyonce that we didn't start seeing until, "Video Phone," a raunchy, tasteless Beyonce. You smoke cigarettes now B?? What the hell? You're hair is platinum blond? The Real Take says, the video and the track's old school, dance pop style has GaGa written all over it. Watch and listen to "Paparazzi" and you'll see the subtle similarities. The same similarities that are, apart of a bigger scheme to take the whole style, uniqueness and animation that has made Lady Gaga so popular. Lady Gaga has no worries though, it's not going to be an easy task. She has sold over ten million albums and over 35 million singles worldwide. (Akon hit the jackpot with that one.)
The song itself, didn't fail to do what all Beyonce songs do, get stuck in your head. I caught myself singing it several times and can't help but to laugh because she did it again. The people behind her have mastered the art of 'staying on your toes' but definitely didn't master the aspect of not stepping on anyone else's. Biter or no biter, I still admire the hell out of that women. It doesn't stop her from being put on Blast though. From her first r&b album, "Dangerously in Love" we've watched Beyonce evolve into a pop star and I'm always excited to see what she's going to do next. Now, I'm going to be excited about seeing what she's going to bite off who next.

The New Artist that Everyone Loves to Hate.

She's the new artist that everyone loves to hate and hate on. I won't lie, it was like pulling teeth for me to even admit that I liked her. Yes, I'm talking about Nicki Minaj, ladies and gentlemen.
For starters, What I'm going to need from everyone is to stop talking about her booty. It doesn't move. There are no stretch marks on it. It's fake. Just about everyone in Hollywood, now a days, has something fake on them. It doesn't make her any less talented.
First, has anyone heard her sing? She actually has a nice voice.[Listen to "Knockout" with Lil Wayne and you'll agree.] In addition to that, theres more to her than animated, funny lyrics with frequent outburst in which complements her flow. The girl has a story and has paid her dues. In 2004, Nicki Minaj was singing background vocals and hooks for local rappers. She was discovered by Lil Wayne a couple years later and followed up with 3 mix tapes, "Playtime is over," "Sucka Free," and "Beam me up Scotty." All three showcases, her ability to do more than come up with clever punch lines and even convinces me that she doesn't have 'Turrets Syndrome.'
Yes, she has bitten Kim's flow but that is expected. If you watch and listen close enough, she's taken a little bit from all the successful female rappers. That is the key to success, especially in the music business, being able to do what someone else does but do it better.
I don't have all positive things to say about Miss Minaj. I have to admit that her first single was a disappointment."Massive Attack" lacks the elements to a hit song: an infectious melody, a dope comprehensive concept, and a crazy hot track. And, I still can't figure out what, "We got tom-toms over here bigger than a monster" even means. She's been consistent thus far so I'm sure her next attempt will be executed better.
Personally, I'm excited about her album release this summer. A dope album vs. dope features will let us know if she's going to be around for a long time or if she'll cease to exist within a year. I agree with Nicki when she said, in a recent interview, "You've got so many people that don't support you but to the ones that do, they look at me and they see big things." I see you doing big things! Go team Nicki Minaj!

Introduction

Whats up everybody! I am pleased to see that you've made your way to my new Blog, The Real Take. Over the years, we've watched music standards, values and morals go down like a girl on prom night and struggle to rise again like an old man's penis. I am here to put all of that on BLAST! The Real Take will disect new artist, albums, and even "hot" (or not so hot) new singles on the radio. Lets face it, we often share the same opinions. I've just made the 'choice to be your voice.' That means, everything on this blog is going to be raw. Someone has to tell the truth!
